About Emotional-Kinesthetic Psychotherapy (EKP)

EKP is a heart-centered, psychospiritual method of body psychotherapy and a form of energy cardiology. The heart is the first organ to form in the body. It is the organizing factor for physical formation, including brain formation. The heart contains extensive brain-like neural matter and can act as an internal pharmacy--dispensing and communicating what is needed, where and when it is needed. Its rhythm and pulse can entrain all of the body's rhythms and cycles into coherent harmony. Each person's EKG is as unique as their fingerprint. When two people touch, one person's heartwave can be seen to register in the other person's brainwave.

When we experience trauma, deprivation or neglect, we experience a deep heart wounding, and lose touch with the power of the heart. Working with the emotional energetics of the heart: creating emotional safety, incorporating touch with permission, listening to the wisdom of the body and the intuitive guidance of the spirit, EKP creates a safe, sacred, intimate healing environment that deeply touches and transforms all most all who participate. EKP facilitates an emotional energetic rewiring, helping us activate and consciously utilize and express the power of the heart.

Linda runs an on-going gender-balanced therapy group in the Boston area for people who want to explore issues of sexuality, spirituality, gender and what it means to be a human being. The group integrates EKP healing work, coaching and feedback, group support and community building.
